CSCR This Week: Organic, Fair Trade Honey Processed Honduras

This week we're giving you another taste of the honey processed fair trade, organic Honduras.  This is from the “Manos de Mujer” - a group of female coffee producers within the organic, fair trade COMSA organization, founded in 2000 and located in Marcala, Honduras.  The Manosinitiative was started in September 2013 for the purpose of improving the living standards of the female members of COMSA.  These women are also part of a larger initiative of COMSA female farmers trying to diversify their farms to have a more sustainable income throughout the year, including fruits and vegetables as well as chickens, pigs and cows.  The initiative aims to promote gender equality at the farms and throughout the community.  We hope you will enjoy this week's roast with notes of honey, peach and strawberry.
