Greetings POK Coffee Lovers,
This Week’s Roast – This week we’re featuring a single origin Timor, something you’ve seen in a couple of blends this year but not on its own since last year. Look for notes of dark chocolate, cherry and allspice. This is a Fair Trade organic coffee from Cooperativa Café Timor, a cooperative of very small farms in East Timor - most less than two and a half acres of land. Established in 1994 with the help of the USDA, the cooperative is the only Fair Trade organization growing coffee in East Timor.
Coffee News – A new poll by the National Coffee Association shows that despite the pandemic, Americans are drinking the same amount of coffee – an average of three cups a day. Not surprisingly, the change comes in terms of where the coffee is being consumed. Home consumption has increased significantly and 20% fewer Americans are frequenting coffee shops.
We hope that you continue to stay safe and healthy.
Here's to another cup – virtually together,
The NRR Team
