What is the policy on coffee that does not get picked up?

CSCR Subscribers,

We have realized a few challenges with coffee shares that do not get picked up for over three weeks from their share date. These coffee shares become challenging to the venue as the bin gets overfilled, making if difficult for members to locate their coffee. The coffee has also lost freshness.

If you are going away or are otherwise unable to pick up your share and would like to put your subscription on hold, that is no problem, simply let us know by emailing Emma at emma@northriverroasters.com.

Given all these factors, beginning March 25th unaccompanied coffee that has not been taken to a good home after three weeks from its share date will be taken by North River Roasters and donated to a local food bank or soup kitchen.

Remember to Maximize Freshness! We recommend that when you get your coffee home you promptly transfer it from the compostable paper bag into your airtight Airscape container to maximize freshness and flavor.

How does pickup at Poughkidsie work?

Poughkidsie is open Monday through Friday from 10 to 5 and on the weekends from 9 to 5.  We will deliver freshly roasted coffee to Poughkidsie by noon on Thursdays.  You can stop by or drive thru to pickup your share whenever you like during their hours of operation.  You can also get a fresh cup of coffee made with our beans.  If you’re looking for easy drive-thru coffee, you’re no longer limited to Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks! 🙂

If you wish to use the drive-thru pull up outside the accessible door at 25 Van Wagner and call 845-243-3750.

 

How does pick up at the Mid-Hudson Heritage Center work?

The Mid-Hudson Heritage Center is open Wednesday-Friday 11:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 1:00 to 5:00.  Please check their website for any schedule changes.

How does pick up at the Bridge Cafe at Vassar work?

The Bridge Cafe at Vassar is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am-3pm. It is closed on the weekends.

How does pick up at the Boardman Road Branch Library work?

The Boardman Road Branch Library is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 9pm.

How will pick up at the Poughkeepsie Grind work?

The Poughkeepsie Grind is open 6am to 4pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.

Do you have a mail order option?

Please let us know if you would like to receive your coffee by mail.  We would need to figure out the frequency and quantities that make sense for those interested.  The shipping costs might be prohibitive to send the regular 12 oz. share every week.  So please email us or post a comment on our Facebook page and we can work on coming up with a solution.

What should I do if I’m away on distribution day?
