This week we’re roasting our Sumatran Fair Trade Organic beans! Located in the Gayo Highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia, surrounding the town of Takegon, the KOPEPI Ketiara Cooperative was stablished in 2009 by 38 people. With hopes of improving the standards of living for its members and community, the cooperative aims to sell more of their quality coffee into international markets. Today, Ketiara has nearly 900 members and is led primarily by women.
