Poughkeepsie Coffee Lovers,
This Week’s Share
For this week we’ve put together a blend of beans we’re calling Stronger Together. So that we can celebrate each beans’ unique qualities and complementary backgrounds, we’re blending together:
- Medium roasted coffee from the Honduras cooperative made up of female farmers called Manos de Majur (Women Hands)
- Lightly roasted coffee from Oaxaca, Mexico
- Dark roasted Sumatran
Of course, all of these coffees are fair trade organic! We hope you enjoy brewing this coffee and that you find that the result is in fact Stronger Together!
Travel Light in August
Travel light in August with the Aeropress coffee maker! Here is an article by Kaffeologie titled Three Reasons to Take Your Aeropress Camping! This is really great technology that yields a quality cup of coffee using very limited supplies. Head to the shop to pick up yours and get it delivered with your next coffee pick-up!
Meet Our Apprentice!
We are so thrilled to have a coffee roasting apprentice! Courtney came to us through Patrick at the Poughkeepsie Grind and has been assisting us and learning about coffee roasting for about a month now. It is so great to have someone there who is passionate about coffee, and who is excited to learn the ins and outs of roasting! Here is a note from Courtney: “Working with coffee for many years, I wanted to learn as much as I could about making a product that improves everyone’s day. Whether it be from the first cup in the morning, a catch up with a friend at the local coffee shop, an afternoon relaxing at home in the rain, or even that mid-day pick-me-up during a long day at work. For me and many others, coffee soothes the soul. “

Thanks for the support and Happy Brewing!
